found my lost superbowl sports bet ticket

I had a buddy of mine make a $110 bet to win $100 at the Flamingo the week before the superbowl. He gave it to me when he got home and I promptly lost the damned thing.
well, as luck would have it I just found it! Should I mail it in and have them send me a check or do I wait until April 7th when I am in Vegas on my next trip? Do these things expire?

Look at the fine print on the back of the ticket for expiration info.
You have a year for any of the Flamingo Tickets. I would save it until you go. Mailing them in is a pain. Nice bet.
I hope that there isn't an issue with ink on the ticket wearing down and becoming unreadable. I think that that has at least happened with some Slot Machine tickets. And so although I know that Sports Tickets are not the same as Slot Machine tickets, I do wonder about that ink.

depends on where it was purchased. some say 90 days, some say more. but u r safe within the 90 day range if u don't cancel ur trip for some reason. It should say in the fine print. I had several for the super bowl, all losers. :-(
If you decide to mail your ticket in, make a photocopy of it for your record and send the ticket by certified or registered mail. I did that a couple of years ago; took about three weeks to receive my money...no hassles. Might help if you include a stamped self addressed business envelope with your winning ticket.
Thanks for the replys;
The back of the ticket said that "para mutual" tickets expire 120 days after buying the ticket or 30 days after the event, so not knowing exactly what a Para Mutual bet was I mailed the ticket in.
The directions seemed pretty easy. You just have to write "mail pay" on the ticket, sign it, and fill out your address. It didn't say anything about a self addressed envelope so I didn't do it.
I will let you know everything turns out.

I can tell you that Para mutual is like Horserace betting where it's everyone betting and the house taking a cut of the action.

And I can now tell you that the word is correctly spelled "Pari-Mutuel" -- and it involves a betting pool. And so I don't think that the Superbowl bet that you made was a Pari-mutuel bet.

so then I did good by sending the ticket in because of the sentence.......expires 30 days after the event, right? I do kinda wish I had sent a self addressed envelope with it now, but the directions said nothing about it so I didn't
