Four Queens downgrade

The 14 uprights by the cashier still have 25c, 50c and $1 9/6 JoB. I looked at them today and also on 2/23.

Thanks LVRoyale! I got my information from a host but she must have been referring only to the machines over by Keno.
Just spent three nights at Four Queens, and I can verify that the 10/7 DB progressive quarter machines by Magnolia's are still there If they had been downgraded, they apparently changed them back. I see that VPfree2 has this updated information now. Downgraded badly are the dollar DB machines across from players club. The 14 machines by the cashier still have 9/6 J or B. Not sure about nickels or higher denominations.

I find it so sad that all of my favorite places have been doing downgrades to their VP inventories.
Now where will I go???

I can now say that I checked the Jacks Or Better by Keno and they are now 9/5 Jacks, so no more 9/6 Jacks there (and no Nickel denomination there either).

As for low end but decent stuff, now the only thing that I know of is on the 50 Play Penny Machines that have 9/6 Jacks Or Better on them at Palms Casino (from what I'm understanding, you can play as little as one hand at full coin in on it and not get penalized for that).

According to vpFREE2 :

LVH has 5c 9/6 JoB
The California still has 5c 8/5 BP and 5c NSUD
Boulder and Palace Stations and Fiesta Henderson have 5c FPDW and LDW (reduced points)
Boulder and Palace Stations and Fiesta Henderson have 5c FP DB (reduced points)
Boulder and Fiesta Henderson have 5c FP JW (KoB) (reduced points)

Forgot to mention that according to vpFREE2 that

Boulder, Palace, Sante Fe, Sunset, and Texas Station along with GVR and Fiesta HEnderson all have FP TDW at 99.92% potential payback at the 5c level.

It's much like FPDW and LDW except there are even fewer holds of non-deuce cards since 4 deuces pays 3,000 coin instead of 1,000 or 2,500 coin and some lesser made hands pay less than FPDW and LDW

The good news is that these are in different machines than the "Optimum" machines that a) pay reduced points and b) do not apply multipliers.

The very very bad news, however, is that the variance on this game is a WHOPPING 96 as compared to JoB at about 20, FPDW at about 25 or even the roller coaster ride you get with DDB at 40. It even surpasses LDW at a nearly equal whopping 70. So despite that you are playing for nickels, you'll want an extraordinarily large bankroll to stay on this roller coaster ride as otherwise it could spin you upside down and completely empty your pockets faster than you can say "I shoulda quit when I was down $ __"

Well for me, a Variance of about 28 is about as far as I'll go. Beyond that, it gets too volatile for me!

I just got back home from a stay at the Four Queens and the four $1 10/7 machines are back in place and they have been for several days. I was fortunate to hit a royal on one of them late last night.
Alex, my friend-congrats on the royal. We will be there in two weeks to try our luck.
