FPDW returns to Palms

According to VPFree, 20 machines containing DB, DDB and FPDW were put in at the Palms today. These have deuces wild at both the quarter and 50 cent level.

Wow. They report 25c and 50c denominations. (earning .0625% on the slot club instead of .25%) I'm sure they'll be marked as promo ineligible as well.

I doubt they'll have the FPDW in 50 cent denomination very long.

Well at least it's something. I did like on rare occasion playing a bit of $0.25 10/7 DB Poker there. Although when I was there (quite a while ago -- over a year ago) it was by the Valet Entrance and so you could feel the weather there whenever the doors opened (either Hot or Cold -- at least when I was there).

Looks like all uprights and probably slowed way down. In any event it's still inferior to Stations offerings and now that they have established the propensity to jerk them, I'm not sure how many of their old players will bother to come back. It certainly enhances their $40/25 offer but that's about the only interest I have in it.

Actually they are quite fast...and quite full of players. Kudos to the Palms.

Kudos? For converting to upright, taking away the progressive, reducing the slot club points? Funny way to look at it.

JM, Personally I love the Palms and I'm glad they finally brought this back. Uprights or slant tops, it doesn't bother me.

-They took away the progressive a long time ago, so that doesn't factor into the equation.
-The reduced points is consistant with other properties in town.
-The other properties that offer FPDW are only at the $.25 level.
-Playing the $.50 FPDW at 800 hands per hour equates to a $15 an hour play, before any slot club points.
-Adding the value of the points, you are at $16.25 per hour. This is the best play in LV at the $.50 level.

Remember, this is a property that has reduced the mailers and has taken away many of the decent games they once had ($2 10/7 DB and $1/$2 NSUD 3/5 play)
