I have heard a nasty rumor that the GN now requires a $5 sidebet for the pocket pair wheel spin bonus. Has anyone run into this? If this is true, this would essentially end my patronage of the GN. They haven't had any playable games outside of the $5 minimum UTH/3 card games, so this mandatory bet would ruin the one good gambling option there.
I've read a few reports on a different Vegas message board confirming this. I walked thru there a couple weeks ago and saw zero UTH games without mandatory side bet.
Sorry to hear this, but thanks for confirming. This is the nail in the coffin for me ever spending money at the Nugget again.
Downtown Las Vegas seems to have embraced the strips' point of view on squeezing as much out of their customers as possible.
