Tier credits take more play than the other kind of points, "Total Rewards points", or "Caesars Rewards Points, but those can be used to pay for things like dining.
If your friends have been given Caesars status by hook or crook, it may include enough Caesars Rewards Points (not Tier points) to pay for their $100 dinners. Check it out.
One abiding truth: it's far less expensive to just open your wallet and pay for whatever than to earn enough Rutabaga Credits or whatever to get your whatever comped (by whatever process). I've noted before that Sleazers is and has been deadly accurate at calculating just what your play is worth to them and then giving you ONLY a finely calibrated fraction of that amount. If they comp you $100, be certain that it'll cost you $500 to earn that comp.
Ah, for the good old days, when you could play 100% video poker for two hours and be awarded the sun, the moon, and the stars. Now, get your internal organs removed at the $25 6:5 blackjack table and get a complimentary stale doughnut as a reward.
