How much to tip for a bonus win??

Playing one of the poker "carnival" games I hit a straight flush and win $1,250 on a $25 bet.
How much would you tip the dealer? Assume your basic non talkative robot like dealer.
Does it matter if you are on the strip or a grind joint.

I'm sure it's a grey area for most folks. I would probably be inclined to just throw out a $25 bet for the dealer. Hopefully some regular carny game players will chime in on this....

The personality of the dealer...it shouldn't matter, but it does to me.

On a slot/VP win, I'd give $20.

At the table, $25 is fine for the robot for that amount.

I'd likely give double that to a friendly dealer who made the game fun for me.
He didn't personally win the money for you, he merely dealt the cards.

Just my thinking. No set formula. You don't even HAVE to tip at all, though it is customary.

the personality of the dealer would matter, at least somewhat. I have watched dealers be complete jerks, and then when you catch a big hand, they act like they have been your best friend all along. and, if it matters, keep in mind that in most places the tips are pooled and shared. there is no right or wrong, just don't stiff the dealer. $25 sounds good to me, especially if you have already been tipping while winning and losing at that table game. always keep in mind at these table games, if at anytime some kind of situation or dispute arises, the dealer will remember who has been tipping and who has not. if he/she has to explain the case to the floor person, they might plead a good case for you. if you have been nasty or a non-tipper, they might be happy to see you get mad and leave.

I recently played bj with a dealer who took each player win as a personal affront. A woman hit the Lucky Ladies bonus and he acted like she'd stabbed his kid. No tips for him!
