This weekend at the Downstream, I hit a Jackpot on Red Ruby for $1,250.  I won a thousand at Pai Gow and my name was drawn twice in cash drawings for $2,000.  At one point I had lost $700 in slots, even though I was still up over all, I could feel that overwhelming urge to get that $700 back.  From past history I knew I was on my way on a downward spiral.  Luckily I hit a red screen for $600 and a Neptune for $200 and I stopped gambling for the rest of my stay.  I left this morning with a $4,200 profit.

Now to my question in the topic.  My name was drawn twice in cash drawings out of 14 names drawn.  This makes 6 times in the last 3 cash drawings, twice each night.  Since I have become a top tier card holder, I have won 7 drawings.  It's been my observation that the biggest players do get their names called more often.

I had 256,000 entries in this last one.  I was given the highest entry multiplier, I'm sure because of my being a platinum card holder.  Before I was top tier I was seldom drawn.  It seems that the casinos finger is on the scales to favor some players over others.

As I walked up to get my 2nd winnings, I could hear mutterings from the crowd milling around the drawing facillitator.  My friends seem to be happy for me.  One friend, a couple of weeks ago, had her named called 3 times in one evening.  She jokingly commented, If she'd won 4 times, the casino patrons would have killed her.

I will be returning tomorrow night to particpate in some promotions.  I must remain diligent to keep from going on tilt should I have a losing session.  Too many times I have given the casino back their money and then some, due to chasing losses.
