Gambling - Just Got a Royal on My Computer Practice. Need Consolation.

VP for Winners. I know getting a no-pay royal on my computer has no effect whatsoever on the number of real royals I will get next trip or in a life-time. But still. I need hugs and some of you math folk to reassure me of that fact.

Maybe somebody got 10 royals in practice the week before a Vegas visit and then got 10 more real ones when they were in town....

I hit one on VPFW about a week before our trip. I hit a real one at the Cosmopolitan the following week.

I hit one while practicing 2 hours before departing for the airport. On the first morning session in Las Vegas I hit a real one and followed with a 2nd a few days later.

Same thing here--hit my first royal practicing a couple weeks before a trip, then hit 2 real royals on the second day of our trip. Consider your practice royal a good omen. LOL

I have Bob Dacncer's earlier video poker cd. I've been practicing on it for a year and a half now and haven't hit a royal yet. I've played around 76,000 hands and still can't get a royal. My five year old tells me "keep trying daddy, you'll get the biggest prize". So from me congrats on your computer royal.

Congrats on the royal! Unfortunately your chances of a royal are now reduced to 1 in 60,000 in the "real world". Please be sure to say your name to the machine before playing so it knows it's you and it can adjust the odds.

(sorry for the sarcasm)

I got my first royal six months ago after years of playing VP. It was tiny. 5 play 25 cents per hand so the royal was small, but was a paid royal.

You need to play 40,000 more hands on VPW before you leave for Vegas!! And to make sure you don't hit another one, do not hold any suited face cards at all.

I hit a royal on the computer a few days before we left for Vegas,My husband is playing beside me at Aliante and gets the same royal I did at home !!! Same suit and same draw !!! I call it Good Luck now.
