Yes, any kind of profit is definitely better than a loss!

I wish you all the best for this new year!

this will be my ledger this year

-100 poto on vp 1-18-14

-100
plus75 $1 p0t0

-25 for the year

Great idea to keep track throughout the year. I have never done that.
two years ago was a BAD year. i figured if i saw it live i would take a pause sometimes.

i still go crazy sometimes but that's gamboling.
Keeping in line and walking a fine line (by keeping track of what you do) can be a good thing! And so keeping track of what you have done is a good thing.

People should also keep in mind that all of this is their money -- most especially the money that they have won and that any Freeplay that they have could very well be looked at as their potential new money.

Many times when people win some money, they then say that they are now playing with "The Casino's Money" but in reality, the second that you win something, it becomes your new property. And so the question should then become "What do I want to do with my new money? Continue playing, or take it and run (to enjoy it and to live to fight another day)?"

We've been keeping track for years; I use a database app on my mobile device so it's pretty easy, will allow specific reports (how much did I win or lose at a particular casino or with blackjack vs. VP, for example), and will be necessary for tax reporting purposes (and if you get a W-2G it will be impossible to fly under the radar). Keeps you honest, too; we all know people who brag about the $1500 jackpot but forget the $4000 drop that it cost.

There are some people who really like the money that has been won and want to take the money and run! It takes a lot of Discipline to do something like this because many people will think that this is the "Casino's Money" and therefore that they have the license to do wild or crazy things with it because "it is not mine -- it's the Casino's money."
