Let's Talk Craps

FWIW, I'm the reason the pit crew thinks dice setting is BS. I'd tried everything to win at craps. Dice setting just doesn't work for me. I like to think there's someone out there that has EXTREMELY good luck in casinos because I suck up all the bad luck for them! =) I am Clark Griswold.

Dice setting doesn't work "all the time" for anyone, but like I said in a post up above this....It certainly cant hurt to try!

I cant throw a baseball 100 MPH, but I have seen it done by a select few, so I think its reasonable to think that someone, somehow, someway.....could influence the dice on a small percentage of throws, and why not me with enough practice?

By the way, I would never be permitted near M.I.T with my math skills, but when I am at a B.J. table...I am card counting too!

by the way........ check out my picture, that's me on a bed at the Las Vegas Hilton a few years back after I won $4,500 (its all there on the bed with me) and I was setting the dice. I couldn't tell you if it was random luck or my dice setting, but I can tell you the bank clerk didn't care one way or the other when she put the money in my checking account!

LOL, awesome! I'll be in Vegas next week, I'll take a picture of my $45 on the bed with me! Whoop, whoop! Get my nine $5 bills baby! =) [DISCLAIMER: Because I'd be lucky if I walked away from the craps table with any money!].

Random side note: I once put a $5 chip on a specific number the night of my bachelor party and it hit! A more sober Tony would never have bet like that...maybe the trick is to only gamble when I'm drinking! =) Is that the life lesson I should take from it?

This is a very interesting thread! I've only been playing about five years, but it's definitely my game of choice. Love the energy, especially at a hot table. I play the pass and as much in odds as I can afford..will start off placing the 6,8,9 and if I hit, will play the 5 then 10. The only center action I play is
the hard ways, but only if someone shows they throw hard...I believe that some people just do! I've played in CT, AC and LV - my favorite tables have been at the GN/AC and the D in Vegas. We live in CT and do a couple of trips to AC and one or two to Vegas every year - counting down till month end when we will be strolling the boardwalk! I do belive wholeheartedly in controlled throwing, but I've only seen a few people that can actually do it...

How did you decide that these few people were capable of controlled throwing?

Don't confuse a winning session with proof of dice control. They're not the same.

When people win the lottery, I don't take it as evidence that they control the ping pong balls.

I'd answer that by saying "once or twice may be lucky" but IMHO, a high incidence
of numbers and points (multiple throws) in a session indicates some skill as well.
I might be wrong, but it's what I believe !!

I am a firm believer in dice setting. I do set the dice and have seen others who set the dice with great results. Those who doubt the value of dice setting should find another game and quit talking about something they obviously know nothing about.

I look forward to seeing my first casino bar a craps player for being a successful dice setter. Would definitely be a first.

I have to assume that someone who can successfully set dice at craps quit their day job long ago and now lives in luxury in Monte Carlo playing craps during breaks between the caviar feedings and bjs.
