Low Limit Blackjack

Bill is right, the DD game at the El is DAS, the SD isn't. Personally, I prefer the DD game (and have had more luck at it), the SD games are usually crowded so you'll only get two hands per deck (penetration is poor).

The Longhorn is kind of a pit, but convenient if you're going out to Boulder Highway anyway; it's across the street from Sam's and the E-Can, and the Sam's Town shuttle is easy to access. I haven't played there in a while; I do remember getting a ration of shit about playing one of their free ace coupons which used to be in the POV. They called the pit boss over, as though they'd never seen one, and he had to make a bunch of phone calls, etc., and his attitude was distinctly as though I were trying to scam him. Bottom line is that it held up play for over five minutes, and everyone at the table was getting really pissed at me (didn't look like a lot of coupon-friendly folks in that crowd).

The problem with the Longhorn is not really the people or even the smoke.

It's their pit boss. He's the problem.

He seems to like to argue with patrons quite a bit. LOL

I think double deck at the 'Tez does not allow double down after splits. One of my favorite things to do. LOL

Otherwise, it's OK.

I think Longhorn's 6 deck rules have a better percentage compared to the 'Tez's double deck.

However, I prefer the 'Tez.

DD at the Tez does allow DAS. Their SD you can not. I don't think you will find another DD game that has a $3 min and good rules. They do hit soft 17 but hey in order to find a game that the dealer sticks with soft 17 you have to up the min to around $100-ala Wynn.
