M 2x points w/mailer--how's it work?

I'll be utilizing my M mailer for the 1st time next weekend, including their 2x points on the weekend. Just curious if others have used this and how it works--do I need to activate something at the player's booth each day for them to kick in, or are they automatically coded to my players card/account #? I'm hoping it's the latter, as I anticipate waking early my 1st a.m. there and would like to head there 1st and start playing before the club probably opens.

It's automatically calculated right at the machine. So, your actual coin in is 1/2 of what the display shows. You might want to be cognizant of that if you're trying to earn points towards the free buffet.

Thanks Dan! And I'll definitely keep the multiplier in mind when calculating my play for the free buffett. I've read on this board about how it's dropped off, but if the desserts are still good and they still have crab legs on the weekend I'll be happy!
