Hi John. I was orginially asking this question because my husband and I were going in July for our bdays. We usually go down on Sunday, stay one night (at Eldorado) and come back sometime Monday.
Went to Margaritaville during the day on Monday and they did have one (maybe two cant remember) $5 bj with 3/2 payout. DDB was worse than 9/5 (dont remember exactly what either) so didn't play any vp. Went again in Sept. and found the same thing. They did have a couple of nickle "Pawn Stars" slot machines in the back corner on the right that I played for fun.
I am still on a losing streak but thankfully in July my husband had some good vp hits and got back my losses but neither of us won (in the end) in Sept. At least in Sept. I had some winning sessions at bj and craps but vp took me down. In July I didn't have a winning session at anything.
In July Eldorado only had one $5 bj and it went up to $10 at night. We were playing when they switched and instead of grandfathering us in at $5 until we left the table which I've always experienced, they made every go up to $10 at the start of the next shoe. They also now have a single or double deck (dont remember which) that has the 6/5 payout. However, in Sept. they had 2 or 3 $5 3/2 payout tables.
