So I've been to Vegas thirty times and I didn't know anything about this until I heard it mentioned from someone on here and I researched it. Supposedly, there is one very old machine that has a progressive attatched to it (over $2 million) that has never been hit and the casino can't remove the machine until it does get hit. As I researched it, most of the posts came from 2012 and they all spoke of or hinted toward "rumor has it....", etc.
So now I'm wondering a few things:
1. Is this story of the Lion's share slot an urban legend?
2. If it is real (and I'm sure the machine is real....just question the story behind it), has it been hit? No one has talked about it much since the end of last year.
3. The stories I read worried whether they would continue to find parts for it, how it didn't take newer dollars, it was hand-pay only and couldn't use tickets or even coins to pay out. So I wonder, are they able to check this machine to see if it even has the capability to pay a jackpot? Maybe it was erroneously set up and has no chance of a jackpot.
4. How long has this guy been around?
I'll take a stroll through and give it a shot if it is real, but I don't want to waste 30 minutes looking for Bigfoot, just so I can give him $30.
