Missing State/Payer ID Number on W-2G

I'm curious if anyone on the forum has run into this situation on a W-2G received in Las Vegas. I've got a W-2G from the Orleans with N/A in Box 13, where the State/Payer State ID Number should be listed. Just discovered today that I can't e-file throught a tax software program without a code in the box. Leaving it blank or putting NA in there isn't accepted. Can't speak to anyone at the casino until the Accounting Department reopens Monday. I assume the N/A might be due to the fact that there's no state income tax in NV, but I can't imagine that everyone with a W-2G always files a paper return. Can anyone shed some light on whether casinos in Nevada do indeed have State ID Numbers? Thanks in advance for your response. (Sure wish I had more W-2Gs over the years so I could figure out the answer for myself!)
I have N/A on my W-2G for Southpoint. Funny thing is they took State Tax out on my Greektown jackpot & the W-2G shows the deduction but 0 for their #. I'll see what my CPA says .
I just pulled out my W-2Gs from 2011.

Box 13 filled = M Resort

Box 13 N/A or blank = South Point, Gold Coast, Tuscany, Ellis Island, Palms, Four Queens, Silverton, Fitzgeralds, Suncoast.
I do not know who told you that you could not file electronically without a State ID Number but if the software you are using said that you need to use someone else. A requirement that a racetrack or casino to have a number from every State would be ridiculous. Since Nevada has no State income tax the LV casinos have no use for an in-State ID. If your State taxes your gambling winnings then you will pay the appropriate tax whether or not the issuer of the W2G withheld State taxes (this will almost never happen). In the situation salbertson describes Greektown should have a State ID if it is going to withhold State taxes. The software should warn you in the alerts that no State ID was listed but this should not keep you from electronically filing your return.

Thanks to all for taking the time to respond to my question. I was able to find an answer that might be of benefit to anyone else in a similar situation and using TurboTax software to prepare their own return. The "fix" in order to file electronically is to leave Box 13 (the State Payers ID) as well as Box 14 (State Income Tax Withheld) completely blank. This goes against the program's instructions to fill in every box as shown on the W-2G, but it works. My return went through and was accepted by the IRS. Thanks again!
Thanks for pointing that out. I never noticed before.
