My Experience With LVA MRB Coupons At D Casino

Hey Group,

This is my experience with the MRB Coupons when I used them at D Casino.

As for the $5 in Freeplay for each 50 points used, according to what I was told, if you are a completely new member there (and especially if you were not a member at Fitzgerald's), you get $5 in Freeplay for each 50 points earned for 3 continuous days.

But you have to go and get the Freeplay at the Slot Club booth once a day after you've decided to finish all of your play before the booth closes at 1 AM.

They told me (after a new boothling tore out the coupon which I objected to until I could find out what was what), that the MRB coupon was only for existing members (although I'm not clear if that coupon is only good for one day or also for 3 days). But also, they told me that since I'm not a current player, I could use that MRB coupon if I came back before the end of this year (2012).

As for the Blackjack coupon, there was still confusion with the Pit Bosses.

I had to explain to them that I got that coupon from the D Slot Club booth and that the coupon said that if I busted with exactly 22, then instead of losing my bet, I would Push on the bet (that's get my money back).

Another Pit Boss thought that it was that I could Surrender my first two cards and get my money back (it was just a lot of confusion).

What happened with that for me was that within about 5 minutes of my playing, I busted with exactly a 22 (at a $10 bet) and then I played one more hand at $5 and lost it and ended my session at +$20.

Making one jump thru hoops to play coupons defeats the purpose of a coupon, which I believe is to introduce the casino to new players. The "D" can forget about me making a visit.
I agree with the dr. - it's not worth the hassle to me to use a coupon if I have to explain it to the people who work there. They do themselves a disservice by not communicating to their front line employees as this is one customer who won't be visiting.

The wife and I used the D freeplay coupon a few months ago without issue.

Oh, and I forgot to add in that when I was on the first floor of the casino, both Daytime and Nighttime, I found that the noise wasn't too terrible.

Maybe they finally lowered the volume (at least as of the complaints about how loud the music was that I have been reading). I'm in my later 40's.

I personally love the idea of making you exchange your coupon, match play for example, at the slot club booth. I'm willing to tolerate a short wait if this is what it takes to deal with coupon abuse and fraud. Give us good coupons and enforce the T&Cs. However, if the front line staff can't understand the coupon then I totally agree with the above.
The original poster states that it says right on the coupon, if player breaks with exactly 22 the bet is a push instead of a loss. How hard is that to comprehend? Are their pit bosses idiots?

It definitely was strange and I was surprised to see that they were still confused since I thought that Anthony said that he had straightened that stuff out with the staff.

At least one of the people thought that it basically was a Surrender coupon but you'd get all of your money back (it would be treated like a Push [Tie]) if you Surrendered.

The pit bosses never see the coupon.

But they did see the coupon when I used it but they were questioning me about what it was about.

And they kind of didn't believe me that I got the coupon that I gave them from the D Slot Booth. I did have to explain that the original coupon came from the Las Vegas Advisor coupon book and that coupon was to be taken to the Slot Club booth to be exchanged for the D Casino issued coupon.
