New Poker Room At Plaza Casino In Downtown LV

Hey Group,

In the September & October Royal Rewards offers that I just got from Plaza, it says, "Poker Room At The Plaza Opening September 9" and in the photo there is Electronic Poker, so I wanted to let you all know about that.

Is it a poker room with live dealing and an electronic game in the room? I goggled this and all it talks about is the electronic game.

I have no idea but I will check it out on my upcoming trip in about 3 weeks unless someone around here knows the answer to this or will be there before I will.

I walked by and saw them putting in the dealer less poker tables that are electronic.

It's an all-electronic poker room with three tables. They'll start the game as soon as 2 players show up.

I recently spoke to the room's manager. He said the limits are far below those offered at any manned game in town. He also said that these are the same machines that were briefly installed at Excalibur several years ago.
I was there last week - very quiet. Manager will set up dummy game for you so you can practice using the system at no cost. They have mostly 1/2 no limit but will play anything that you want.
If I can not touch real cards and real chips I do not play there!!!!
I walked by the room 37 times during my last stay there and never saw one person playing the damned thing.
Hey Group,

I now have new information (at least as of February 1, 2014) about Plaza's Poker room. They are now offering some Daily and some otherwise Poker Tournaments (so far there are four of them in total).

The information that I'm seeing says the following:

01). 10AM Daily -- $22 Buy-In No Limit Hold em Tournament;

02). 2PM Daily -- $12 Buy-In No Limit Hold em Tournament;

03). 7PM Thursday-Tuesday -- $33 Buy-In No Limit Hold em Tournament

and 04). 7PM Wednesday -- $55 Buy-In $500 Guaranteed Pot Limit Omaha Tournament.

cool, Thanks for this info! Looks like the smallest buy ins that I remember on Fremont's street (maybe in most of las vegas!)
