I took a quick trip to Reno Aug 16-18 and as usual stayed @ Sands Regency for the "low roller" weeknight rate of $22/nite. While each day was a loss, one nice thing happened @ Circus Circus.
Very early on 8/17 I was playing 26 hands of Bonus Poker on a 100-play machine, .01 denom. I was dealt K8754 of clubs and in error hit the "draw" rather than the 5 "hold" buttons. The new 26 hands paid only 40 credits, so my error cost me $6.10 (6.50 - 0.40). I pressed the service button; a woman came over. I told her what I had done and she thought there was no recourse, but she called another floorperson, a guy. He looked at the history a couple of times. After a bit he took my player's card and said he would be back shortly. When he returned, he said he'd put the $6.50 on my card as a comp (which I verified).
I really appreciated that and filled out a compliment form later that afternoon. I did a similar stupid thing @ Gold Coast in Vegas a little over a year ago, and there I was basically told "tough - it's your error."
