No Limit Texas Hold 'Em Tournament

I really want to play in a poker tournament on our next trip (Oct. 27th-Nov. 1st). Can anyone recommend a good $20-$30 Texas Hold 'Em Tournament? I love the game, but have never played it at a casino.

Thanks for any advice you can give.
Lots of cheap and fun ones for you to play. Flamingo and OSheas or Harrahs has them all day long and late into the evening. I will be out there the same time and plan to play at them as well. Staying at Harrahs and the Rio.

Good Luck and have fun.
Thanks roeseler! I was thinking someplace small like OShea's might be less stressful for my first time.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for off-strip?
Bill's also have several during the day that are low cost.

Overall, the cheaper the buy in, the faster the tourney will be with blinds rapidly increasing so the casino can get new butts in the seats.

For a first time player, I would suggest a game at Imperial Palace, Excalibur or suprisingly Mandalay Bay. Cost will be $40-$50. Many new players and tourists. MB limits tourneys to 3 tables and the 10 am tourneys are $40. Excalibur still has the "strip poker" tourney on Saturdays at 9pm and they gave a free Tshirt and had a bikini clad stripper as an added attraction. Cheesy but it's Vegas.

Here's a link to a website that provides all the poker room info you will ever need.

DrRobt posted a link to All Vegas Poker, and excellent site. To get more specific about your inquiry concerning daily tournaments, here is a direct link to AVP tourney listings.

You don't indicate where you will be staying during your Vegas visit. You may be able to find just what you're looking for to be a short walk from your hotel elevator.

Your OP indicates you haven't played live poker in a casino. I would suggest you should buy into a ring game in any casino poker room just to get used to live play poker protocol. Getting to know the flow of a live game before entering a tournament will help you from looking like "fish" is tattooed on your forehead when you sit down to play in a tournament.

Good luck, and have fun!
Thanks to everyone for you great advice! We'll be staying at Terrible's, 4 Queens and the Plaza.
Downtown, Fitzgerald's should have the weakest players . Normally 2 or sometimes 3 tables.
Thanks route66! We're staying downtown three of the nights, so I might try Fitzgerald's.

Fitzgeralds has $30-40 tourneys, but also has a $15 addon or rebuy--which everyone does, so they are actually $45-55; they also have a $60 w/ no addon
Plaza & Terribles don't have tourneys listed; plaza used to have sit & goes a few years ago
Excalibur has $25-40 tourneys
Luxor has a $35 one
Harrahs 8AM for $25 is actually one of the better low priced ones as there is NO rebuy allowed.
These low cost tourneys have 15 min. blinds & typically you only start w/ $2K in chips (if you click on each casino you will get specifics)
The best tourney for the price is TI for $50; Harrahs is a bit better, and a bit more--$60.
