OLD SLOT CARDS

Haven't been to Las Vegas in over four years. Finally going in 61 more days. Should I take my old slot cards or just register for new ones when I get there?
I have cards that are 5+ years old and when I push them into a slot machine the screen on the slot machines still say...... Hello weggie (and I am still being tracked)
so bring them, it will save you from standing in another line when you get to a casino.

I hadn't been to Terribles in years. Went this summer to play the 2-1 on first blackjack coupon. Handed the dealer my Terribles card, which looked like their brand logo, with my buy in and he said "you haven't been here in awhile have you?" so I knew they must have a different card now. The pit boss got me a new card and we all had a good laugh over it.

So some will still be valid and some won't. If you play a table game first, the pit boss can get you a new card if one is needed.
If the place has changed hands (like TI), an old card may not work.

Otherwise they should work fine. But, when there isn't a long line, it doesn't take but a minute to have them make you a new one. You don't have to register again. They get the info from your ID.

As I'm thinking about this question now, if a person has not been to a casino in a long enough time, the casino may view the player as a new member and that could entitle the player to new player benefits (which could be better than just having an old card), so maybe that should be looked into.

I've never experienced that. Casinos like elephants have very long memories.
Don't waste time lugging them all over town. When you visit a casino just visit the slot club, with computers they'll just call up your account and issue you a pretty new card.

"lugging them" ???

The last time I checked they were the size of a credit card

I say bring your slot cards.
It surley beats locating the Slot Club (sometimes is a pain in itself) at every casino after casino,
and then waiting in line after line for a new card.

Not sure I see how carrying around cards "wastes time", but if wasting time really is a consideration, it in fact would be the reason NOT to have your cards reprinted upon arrival. Depending on the casino and time of day, it might take 5-15 minutes to get a new card printed. And then having to do that for each card!
Well some good points made. I've got a big key chain I keep several dozen slot cards on and since Blade does not wear a fanny pack it's just too carry in the pockets of my tight fitting jeans while strutting on the strip.
