Palms FPDW gone, are Stations Casinos removing all FPDW?

Hi all,

I have been a long term lurker on LVA and this is my first post on LVA.  I want to start by thanking everyone for providing incredibly useful information on the site, and it's been tremendous in helping me learn to take advantage of casinos and deals.

Tonight I spoke with a Palms technician and watched him remove FPDW on quarters on all slant-tops and uprights.  It was my favorite place to play Deuces as the slant tops were fast and the atmosphere was fun (played there since October). Maybe, I've met one or two of you there.

I spoke with a couple of slot attendants and apparently it was a decision made from upstairs.  The three other games of loose dueces, double bonus, and double double bonus are still there, with loose deuces on quarters still and the other 2 on dollars.

I have not checked the other stations casinos yet, but if any of you have seen this today or happen to stop by Red Rock or GVR or Palace Station and see them taking it out there, please comment.

Thanks and good night.

Its not my game of choice  and I dont know the direct answer to your question.

I do know this - Palms and Palace Station get a higher percentage of tourists vs locals compared to their other properties.  And that translates to crappier games at those two places.     You can definitely see it at the tables.

I suspect VP is the same.

I play alot at Boulder and Texas Station.   Plenty of solid 96jOB,BP, DBP, DDBP video poker to be found at those.   I never got into Deuces Wild because of the volatility.

I have been to Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station today. The FPDW are gone on every machine.

I guess the boondoggle going on at the Palms and giving some employees free benefits in order to keep

the union out were too much to overcome. Once again, stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime.

I saw them removing FPDW and KBJW from Fiesta Rancho last night.  Checked Boulder Station today and same story: no FPDW, no KBJW.

A sad day for Vegas VP...

Seen them remove the FP for nickel and dime at Palace Station. Still believe they had some at Quarters and 50 Cent level.

No, they're all gone--at every Stations property.

"No, they're all gone--at every Stations property."

VPFree2 database shows that all the FPDW, JWKOB have been removed from all station and Fiesta properties. The still have LDW, DB and DDB in .25, .50 and $1 only all positive games in .05 and .10 are gone.

I always knew this day would come and I feel lucky it lasted as long as it did.

I'm just totally bummed since I was looking forward to playing at Boulder tonight when I get into town. Now I can't play my JWKOB anymore there.

Reasons to visit Vegas now = 0.

only 1 casino in vegas, nevada and the country continues to offer fpdw as per vpfree-----sams town------have not been there recently, but would assume it would be hard to get a machine

It has been difficult to choose, lately.

Even the OFF STRIP casinos have followed suit to  succumb to the bean counters. Please bend me over.

How does a corporation convey DON'T come HERE? This is the way.

.....

I want to gamble!  Not BS games.

 Triple ZERO roulette?

The sheep will come, appily.   BAAH BAAH.

Or as the  cattle call for Southwest: MOO!

How can Las Vegas come out of this downward spiral?

Does this disease go as far as downtown as well?

I will NOT cancel my downtown reservations.I'm in a grand,so far.Mid-March.

 Choose wisely.

Where to eat and where to gamble?

Stay home and be in your "Own Private Idaho?"

Perhaps that would be preferred.
