Here is my best win so far, last June at the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, IA. I am taking some of the money to Las Vegas in August to reinvest!

Nice hit, PJ ! I don't play slots. I don't understand a big hit many times. Your is a good example. All the of symbols aren't visible but just what symbols were hidden that rates a big payoff like that ?

On the "Hot Shot" slot, the bonus feature is triggered when three or more small slot machines show up on a spin. A different slot machine symbol and possible progressive payout on each of the five wheels. On each slot machine symbol, you can win anything from nothing or a few credits to the progressive when the symbol "plays" and the reels on the symbol spin.

For my win, the fourth wheel bonus symbol, "Triple Money" won the progressive award, $2808. You can see the small "Triple Money" symbols lined up on the small machine bonus symbol. The fifth wheel bonus symbol, "Extra Money", could have paid over $14,000! You can see the progressive amounts at the top of each column, except the one that I won, which is blank, since it was awarded.

Not a bad payout for the max bet of $1 for that particular slot. The best I had ever won in the past on this slot was the first reel progressive, "On The Money", for $10 or $15.

I've wondered about those Hot Shot slots--it seems like the small slot machines can show up on any reel (like a scatter). It doesn't appear that they have to be on the same payline. What if you were playing one line, max bet, and managed to get the little slot machines--would you still be eligible for the bonus?

I don't know. I never play one line. I would suggest reading reading the pay table. That will probably tell you.

Yes and no. The progressive awards are only available at max bet (on all lines). I believe you'd trigger the bonus, but the awards in the game-in-game bonus would not be as high (they'd be proportional to the number of coins you bet).
