What a difference a day makes!
Barb's "royal a day" streak came to an abrupt halt at Ellis Island yesterday and South Point earlier today. Holidays in Vegas usually always mean multi-point days at local's casinos and today was no exception. So, in effort to avoid having to compete with Mr. Dancer and his comtemporaries, we took a page from his playbook at arrived at South Point just before midnight to have our choice of the four Quick Quad machines. The plan was for us to do our monthly play requirement in order to stay on their A+ mailer which requires $60K coin in per month. Also, being a 2X points day makes DDB in this configuration a positive game. So, while the rest of the civilized world slept, Barb and I set out for the battle. We (Barb) did manage to hit one each of a dealt quick quad and natural 4 OAK which in each case was a $1,300 handpay and the accompanying tax slips. That unfortuantely was the highlight of the day. Here's the pics:

We played for a total of 9 hours in order to get $60K coin in through each of our cards. By the end, I was lieterally seeing things and had to ask her to verify even the most obvious holds. My coin through cost me $1,825 but was offset by $376 in cash back. Barb's was very ugly.....$3,325 and we came up two thousand points (dollars through) short which we'll drop in on Thursday and complete. She'll offset this loss by $360 in cash back which as you can see, doesn't begin to take the sting out of the day.
It's always so much easier to recall and write about the wins.....the losses are the proverbial kick in the stomach.
We're still ahead for our trip and we realize that the ebb and flow is all part of the game. We had a $11K win the other night so this sport is a bit streaky.
Terry, I'm starting to think that some of the bottles are tainted. My co-conspirator is fast asleep and I'm in training for my next feeding set for Fiamma this evening. The ZD may in fact make the appearance there.
The priest was likely working yesterday at his regular gig. I didn't walk today.....was a zombie by the time we got back to MGM.
It's all Mare's fault.....we should have never introduced her to that machine! LOL In fact, I was sitting in front of it while she was playing it and the machine she was sitting in front of. Isn't CA a community property state? LOL The actual problem is that when she left, she took the horseshoe with her.
Pmryder, we didn't even realize is was sequential until one of the suits paying it off commented on it. I told him that it should pay $50K but he wasn't buying.
Bill, you can hang with us anytime. Always can use a good wingman. It's dangerous work but if you like the "work hard, play hard" model, I'm sure you can make the team.
