Pictures of good wins - feel free to add yours!

Eight banded stacks of $5000 each ? I imagine that most of us might very well might have acted as you.
I've would've been a babbling idiot. Picture jenaphir if she had hit for 100,000 quarters instead of 20,000 ? "I'm freaking out " repeated continuously for days is a possibilty.
if i had hit for 100,000 quarters, i would not have lived to tell about it. i would have died of shock right then and there.

You pointed out something most people seem to miss when it comes to carrying lots of cash. So many think you are now a big target for a mugging. WRONG. In this case, if the only person that saw the money go into your purse was the one old guy, he is your only threat. The other two thousand people in the casino or on the street do not know you have lots of cash, and therefore you are not a big target.

Why do people think they are more apt to be robbed because they have extra cash on them? No logic.
Sandy, I think the only logic is that in the current economy; especially in Vegas where higher unemployment than the national average is the norm, that there is an increase in crime. Whether someone sees you being paid a lot of cash or not, the reality is that any one of us is more likely to have a crime related incident than perhaps 3-5 years ago.

Having said that, I still think Vegas (in the heavy tourist areas) is still one of the safest big cities in the country.

Having been paid by check would have been a safer solution but not the most time efficient or convenient one. Not an issue unless you have an "incident".

Dan

I"m surprised No one paying you off..........ASKED if you want Any of it in a Check?

Then again, they TRY to NOT give you a Check because they want you to give it all back......

But that's allotta Cash.
I use a fanny pack in the casino........No Way that would Fit!!!

Maybe put a piece of paper around your D.L. Barb..........and next time you need to pull your
D.L. out for your next W2G? You'll have a Reminder note around your Drivers Lic. that says,
"CHECK PLEASE"
agreed.
i'm a check gal myself-- like to hold it/ deposit it...cleaner. do not like wads of cash on me.
to each their own but I'm always scared i'll give back a HUGE win- go off the deep end.
check please
If anything..........they should Offer to give you a check for a large portion of it.
Stacks & stacks is Pretty.........but ridiculous. (Now, I"ve lost track of which casino? SP?)
In any case,
As Ann Landers would say........they need to be lashed with a wet noodle.
But keep up the good work Barb AND Mr. Barb

Dan, Vegas is about the 7th most dangerous city in America.

The South end of the strip up until the Wynn is a war zone...

Take the check why chance it?

As said above, the chances of your blowing some of that money in a hurry is way higher than getting mugged. Yes, I am sure muggings might be higher, though I have not seen or heard of it. But, it does make some sense.

Back to having lots of C-notes. At the high limit area at Horseshoe Tunica, they have lots of people playing sometimes - way more than I ever see in Vegas, by far. Sometimes you see somebody walking around with a big wad of cash in their hand just feeding machines as fast as they can. Just amazing. The get a nice $10k payout and then just feed away. for those people, mugging is the least of their worries.

Anyone have any new photos? Looks like I won't be going again for awhile and I need my fix!
