Just wanted to get some more feed back on why people like each reward club. I know the big one is if it is tied to one close to home. For us one of the biggest is comped rooms

Four Queens - Great cash back and comps
South Point - Great cash back and comps
Tie between MGM and Caesars because of their air charter programs, which fly folks like me to various locations other than Las Vegas. for us Biloxi, Atlantic City, Laughlin, others. I guess they collaborate with Sun Country as those are the planes. Free flight, free 3 or 4 nights, and MGM attaches decently good Free Play as well as additional Free Play in your birthday month. Hosts often apply ($100 a day) for resort, e.g. food, credits.
Wynn actually has a good players club program, though no flights for us. But always 3 nights, Free Play (for me $350, was $500 but I've been downgraded, LOL) and Resort Credit. I'm a dollar player, VP, tables, slots. My friend is strictly slots, plays and gets waayyy more from her Host than I do. I sacrifice a lot of 'points' by playing tables at relatively low minimums and a lot of VP. But I play what I enjoy, which is a mix of many.
Wynn also rewards "Slot Dollars", from which I have gotten some very nice items from certain of their stores. Slot Dollars can also be used to pay for food, room, all charges including mini bar, room service. It is a tough environment if you are looking for low minimums, $15 a hand their low point (plus all the bonus hands of course) early in the morning.

Four Queens and South Point are the winners in terms of percentage return for your play. FQ returns almost 1%, 2/3 of which is comps and 1/3 cash. SP returns a straight 0.3%, which can be used for either. Free play or cash at SP, not certain about 4Q (I always save it up to "rebate" myself at the end of a trip).
4Q is MUCH more generous with room offers. Furthermore, SP only sends you offers if you lose. Even one winning trip, and they dry up.
So Four Queens is the clear winner IMHO.
So Kevin what kind of room offers are you getting at 4Q. In the past it seems like only 2 or 3 nights during the week if I have been following correctly. Rainbow and EI seem great too but no rooms. There Seems to be 3 very different wants for clubs. One for locals that don;t need rooms. One that ties into their local casinos, and one that gives out rooms and keeps points on the books for the twice a year visitor.

Agreed 100%. SP will dry up on your real fast if you win a few trips in a row and then start back up if you lose. I've been going there for 10+ years as a tourist and 4-5x a year. They've been good to me as I play very accurately with my VP but I've run below average there. (No royal now 3.5 years and counting......uggh) I dabble in slots and table games with them and play poker but the last one doesn't count at all.
Four queens I just haven't gotten around to establishing myself at. Mainly because uprights bug my shoulder and back. But I'll get to doing it sooner or later. I really like EI and Rainbow but it is definitely 99.9% locals there. (I only got out there due to Kevin's recommendation)
I've learned not to chase players clubs. Unless you are a diamond player I think you are better off just getting on the radar of several places with a little play and wait for the default mailing offers. Palms, Silverton, Stratosphere, Tuscany, many others .... and almost all of the downtown hotels with give you room/food/play offers in the mail with not much activity.
Really the mailing offers I get end up being a bigger value than the coupon book for this site. And I'm not a high roller by anyone's definition.

It's been all over the map, even though my play and visitation have been pretty constant--I stay 4 or 5 days and throw in whatever play is needed to take advantage of the current offers (say, 8 to 12 K coin-in). Over the last year, I've gotten 3 free nights, 2 free nights, buy one get one night, not with any discernible pattern, except that for March I received...nothing. I usually get $20-40 free play, too.
Appended to all the free room offers are always the ability to book up to seven additional nights at 30% off. That sometimes is worth more than the free room. One bonus is that you can use any 4Q offer at the Apache, which is perfectly adequate and CHEAP.
Oh and I've usually been able to use these offers on the weekend. Even the buy one get one is a real savings on Friday/Sat.
I agree that the 4 Queens and Binions are the most generous. On my last trip, my free night was on Friday, so that saved me about $150 Canadian. Our dollar is terrible right now, so I rely on offers and LVA coupons.
