Promo: Four Queens

I was surprised to find out that a promo at the 4Q has been going on for several weeks and is valid every day through the end of the year. To wit:

Earn 300 slot/VP points and you can redeem them (same day) for $30 free play and $10 food credit. It takes $8 to earn one point, so valuing the food comp and free play at face value, that's $40 return on $2400 coin-in. The best game that earns points at that rate is 9/6 JOB, so that would be a theoretical loss of $11.04 to get $40. Free lunch!

There is a better game available: 10/7 DB, which is full pay. You have a 100.17% return on this game, but it takes $16 coin-in to earn one point, meaning you have to shove $4800 through to earn the rebate. But that play will produce a +$13 theoretical result, so, money for nothing!

I was really amazed that you can do this over and over, once a day. I visited there the other day and played .25 JOB, booking an $11 profit in addition to the comp and free play. I ate at Magnolias--had a tasty bowl of gumbo and a salad. I circumvented the parking fee/validation hassle by using valet, which was still free.

The one thing I failed to note was whether the free play and comps were a redemption for the points I had earned or an addition. I didn't check to see if the points I earned were actually subtracted from my balance when I redeemed the offer at the slot club. You normally get $3 in comps and cashback for every $480 in coin-in, which is roughly 0.6% and a helluva lot better than you get elsewhere.

-The 4Q promotion goes thru 12/29.

-The 300 points earned for the $30 free play does not come off your point balance.

-You get a paper coupon for the $10 food that can be used at Magnolia's or the Brew Pub. Does not come off your comp dollar balance.

Same promotion is going on at Binions (also good thru 12/29). But the best VP play is 8/5 Bonus Poker, which gives a lesser return than 10/7 DB or 9/6 Jacks at the 4Q. You can get some pretty good sandwiches at the deli for the $10 food coupon.

Giving the 4Q and/or Binions some play will also increase your monthly mailer.

Wow---then the promo return of 1.6% is in addition to the 1% you normally get. That makes that a killer promo!

Any word if this promo has continued? Heading that way in March.

That promo was over on 12/29/21, as advertised.

The 4Q & Binions have another promotion in Feb and March:

"Earn 1,000 points from February 1 - March 31, 2022 and receive your collectable Jeweled Tiger and $50 in Free Slot Play." This is the year of the tiger on the Chinese calendar.

Don, where do you find this out? I looked on the 4Q website and there's not even a current promo page or anything like that.

Putting the worth of the tiger at $0, this is a $50 return on $8K of coin-in, or 0.625%. Not quite as good as some of their other promos, but still, not bad at all.

I expect to see Vegas's thrift stores flooded with jeweled tigers.

Kevin, there's signage all over the casino, also a banner at the top of their webpage (which is unusual for them, they usually don't put much of anything on their website).  I understand that they had trouble with mailers these past few months; they've been doing this promo for at least nine years (that's how many jeweled animals we have, anyway) and normally send a mailer. For what it's worth, this used to be just for invitees, not for everyone; they never attached any FP to it in the past, either, which is an upgrade in these trying times.

And there is a special promo today - Valentine's Day.

Earn 100 points and get a box of candy. Good at both 4Q & Binions.

Just checked again and did not see anything on the 4Queens page.  But I did see it on the Binions page.
