Quesion concerning VP odds

Friday night my husband and I went to Four Winds in Michigan on the spur of the moment. I really didn't feel like going anywhere but went anyway. About 30 minutes after we got there, my husband was playing $1 DDB and was dealt a Royal Flush for $4000. He changed machines and was dealt 4 Aces with a 4 for an additional $2000 about 10 minutes after changing machines. Also hit numerous 4OAK etc. which totaled about $2000. What are the odds of being DEALT those 2 hands, especially within such a short time span?
Dealt RF and Dealt 4 Aces/Kicker are two separate events with separate odds of occurring.
Somebody here knows the precise number for each.

The time span between the two jackpots I believe is not as specifically calculable, because you are talking about two different machines.

I'm guessing you'd have to know the odds for every VP machine in the casino at any one given moment coughing up that specific dealt hand.
But somebody here will put the pencil to paper (or calculator) and work out a number for you.

But anyway, congratulations! Enjoy the glow.

I don't know the odds. Did you come out ahead for the night?
Enjoy it, luck like that happened to me once in 75 trips. Far and few between. Congrats

You better believe it. I was the "banker" for the evening because when my husband thinks he's on a hot streak, bad things happen !!
Odds of being dealt a royal: 650,000:1. Odds of being dealt 4 aces with kicker: 216,000:1. The odds of getting a royal and then four aces with kicker back to back: 140,400,000,000:1. (That's 140 billion.) But it's much lower if you are "only" going to get both hands, in no particular order, over some even every limited period of time. Maybe like 10,000,000:1.

You're assuming that both paying hands came pre-draw, in the first five cards dealt. The original poster didn't say that.

Royal flushes, for example, are far more frequent than once ever 650,000 hands.

Yes, both hands were DEALT to him. By that I mean that those were the first five cards. He merely pushed the hold buttons on all cards. Thanks for the odds on those two hands. I knew somebody would have that information.
Then that IS very rare, and deadeye was right in his/her assumption, for me it wasn't clear from your post, congrats!
