Question on Quick Quads

Never played this game. Can you not play the 6th coin and still have regular 5 coin payouts or do they short the 5 coin payout?

Well I had time do some more research on quick quads. Wasn't sure if it was worth going for if not familiar with the strat changes. Read a Bob Dancer article that said you could just concentrate on a couple of strat changes and be fine. Been practicing it from the link on wizardofoadds and it is fun! Took me a long time before I hit one quick quad but after that have had several. Want to give it a try for real now.
Very fun game to play, don't like when they've turned the "Quick Quads" phrase down on a machine.
I like hearing "Quick Quads" too. I had to turn off my sound on my computer for awhile yesterday while still playing to not bother other people in my house who needed to concentrate on something else at the time. I really missed it.

Had another long bout with no quads quick or otherwise and bankroll kept going down and down. But it quickly goes back up when you do hit a quick quad or two especially if it's three 2's and two A's which would normally be just a full house...loved getting that bonus!

Assuming the pay table on the QQ game is full pay, the paytable with 5 coins only is also full-pay on every machine I've seen (South Point, EI). Obviously I'd check the actual pay table before you start to play!

Good Luck!

Yes you Could, but why?

If you only want to play 5 coins..........play elsewhere.
QQ machines are usually hard to come by. Some casinos have One, or none.

As far as the Vol. I turn mine Down, cuz when you get a QQ, it YELLS at you!
Don't need a machine scaring me, so I like the Vol. down.

I'd advise playing online before the casino. Save your moolah til you've practiced alot.

Once was playing QQ at Harrahs, & it dealt Aces/kick when I changed to 10 play. Good times.

I don't mind the extra coin in any case. Makes for fun time, and more chances to win with the QQ.

If you didn't know the QQ strategy it would make sense not the play the 6th coin and just play normal strategy. Especially if this is the only game in the house which is the case sometimes.
Echo all of the good advice above. One note: I would be annoyed if someone was playing non-QQs on a QQ machine that I wanted to play QQ on when there are plenty of other non-QQ machines available. I'd never say anything but others may be more, umm, confrontational. Hope you end up playing QQs because it's a fun game!

I would be highly annoyed if someone was playing 5 coins, not 6... QQ's are for folks who want to play the QQ feature!!

5th & 6th coin have same pay scale, the 6th coin enables the quick quad feature:

If you don't max bet for the QQ feature then stick to standard 5 coin VP
