Question on slot pics and/or video

I remember many years ago, my first trips to Vegas, it was almost taboo to have a camera in the gambling area or to take pictures of playing slots, VP, etc. Now I see folks posting pics of their wins, and even see videos on YouTube of folks taping slot bonus rounds. Are the casinos now cool with this, or is it one of those "sneak it when security isn't looking" type things? I'm leaving in less than a week, and I'd hate to think if something big hit, I wouldn't be able to record it someway.

I've Never had a prob taking pics on my Iphone, because I do it quickly, and don't draw attention.

Phones are much easier & quicker than a Camera, IMO, and draws less attention.

If its a biggie jackpot? When in doubt..........just do it. Casually. Then put away quickly. Thats what I do.

Now hit a biggie, so you can try!

It's a bit of both. Most casinos have slacked off enforcement of or eliminated their "no photos" rule. And with many cell phones having cameras built in, it's a lot easier to disguise their presence. I'd be careful about taking photos of security personnel or areas, the cashier booth, or the table games, but the rest should be all right.
I take a pic of every RF and otherwise unique or good hand and never had an incident.

It could be perhaps the issue of patron privacy that they're trying to guard against.

In any event, it's not been an issue with me for at least the last 3-4 years.

If I remember correctly, the more pressing issue with the casinos about photography in casinos was if photos were being taken of other casino patrons who might not want to have their photos taken.

That is what I heard. There could be pics of folks who should maybe not be together. And they want what happens in LV to stay in LV and not on youtube.

Maybe we should qualify this by saying..........were talking about taking pics of YOUR wins, on
YOUR machine. Do it quickly & quietly. Easiest on your phone. I don't bring a camera in casinos anymore.

Group shots or pics of OTHER peoples wins, are still frowned on. and definately NO pics of Other gamblers.
They also Don't like people taking pics Inside the casino of.........the casino.

Is it OK to take candid shots of the cocktail waitresses?

They seem awfully friendly!!!
I think with all the social networking now, the casinos like the free publicity they get when people post pics of their wins.
I take pics locally of my wins, as long as you are quick and not trying to take pics of others and their wins, you should be Ok. The most they would do is ask you not to do it again, I would think.
If you go to youtube and type in slot winners, you will find a lot of videos from various casinos. People video their bonus wins and post them. If you're a slot player, they are fun to watch!
