quick vp question

If my friend plays 9/6 DDB strategy on a 10/7 DB machine what does her return percentage fall to? What I'm trying to figure out is it better for them to play on a 9/6 DDB machine or a 10/7 DB machine even though they don't know the correct strategy all of the time. I can remember in Dancer's original 10/7 publication, he said that playing JOB strategy on a 10/7 machine would still result in a better return than JOB would the same hold true here??
No, not really. Dancer is right, if your friend is playing 10/7 DB, they're better off using JOB strategy.

Using 9/6 DDB strategy on 10/7 DB, is a mistake. In 10/7 DB, you do things quite a bit differently than you would in DDB.

Some common things that are different are, in 10/7 DB, you hold a lot of 3 card flushes, and when you get dealt 2 pair, with a pair of Aces, you keep both pair.

In DDB, you do NOT do either of those things, the list goes on and on.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dave, I just thought that it might return better than the 98.98% that 9/6 DDB returns. Oh well she loves the thrill of the kickers anyway.
As far as I know, you can print out a playing strategy chart for 9/6 DDB through www.vpgenius.com

I don't think that it would be a good idea to use 10/7 DB strategy on a 9/6 DDB machine.

When Flushes pay 7 For 1 instead of 6 For 1, then you need to hold all kinds of partial Flushes that you would not be holding when the Flush pays 6 For 1.

You could just have your friend use the printed up 9/6 DDB chart.

I really avoid all DDB games because the base Variance (Volatility) is 42 (which is way too high for my liking) -- especially when the Variance of 10/7 DB is 28 (the lower the Variance, the smoother your roller coaster ride will be).

No worries Recvpplayer, I don't play DDB either, except on a few progressives. I was just trying to find out the return percentage of playing 9/6 DDB strategy (which she knows) on a 10/7 DB machine (where I will be parked!) Thanks though, I'm really getting excited to get out there!!!
Ran this through the computer and the 9/6 DDB strategy for 10/7 DB plays 99.8% so it is much better to play this than playing 9/6 DDB.
VPgenius.com will also generate a playing strategy chart for 10/7 Double Bonus and so your friend could print out that and maybe do some practice as well on VPgenius. The site has a training feature which gives the player hands and checks them for accuracy.

You're telling me!

My wife LOVES DDB, even 8/5.

She's pretty darn lucky, and she hits aces w/ kicker, pretty often.

Her theory, " I don't care if it's 8/5, because aces w/kicker still pays 2000, and 2s, 3s, & 4's w/kicker pay 800.

Oh yeah, last trip she got DEALT aces w/kicker and 3s w/kicker.

We only play single line, and yes. I'm her lucky charm!
