R.I.P. Dyole Brunson

You should write a gambling column Kevin or just a column about everything since you know so much.  Oh wait, you did write a failed gambling blog on this site.  Hmmm....

Sometimes those third-grade teaching credentials can only go so far.  Well, back to playing single line quarter video poker and pretending you were in a poker game with Doyle Brunson at some point.

I know more than you, Jerry. Which, admittedly, isn't saying much. I've written multiple gambling columns and two books. You couldn't begin to do that. I taught third grade. That would be utterly beyond you.

And I'll be happy to send $1,000 to the charity of your choice--including Trumpers Against Brown People, your favorite--if you can show us where I ever claimed to have played poker with Doyle Brunson. Game?

I saw him many years ago (probably about 2005-ish)  when Binions Casino downtown had that cool diner in the basement.   He was having a late dinner and so was I.    I had no idea who he was.  The couple sitting next to me kept pointing.  I figured he must have been some movie star.   I asked them who he was and they told me.   I still had no idea.   I had to look him up.

I remember he looked really old then.     He needed a cane to walk.   Time flies.
