Red Rock daily poker tournament

Has anyone ever participated in the daily poker tourney at Red Rock? I'm thinking I just might get around to it on my trip this month. Can anyone give me any information? For example, what's the average number of players? What time do you have to check in to guarantee a seat? How long does it usually last? Is this a good first tournament? I think it's a $100 buy-in. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I played it twice on my last trip in June. There are a lot of locals, almost like a coffee club atmosphere with a number of regular women who seem like housewives, a couple of aggressive nutso players, and a few rocks. That said, it was fun. My last day I remember getting two spots from pay and called an all-in bet with pocket 10s. The raiser had K-10 and he flopped two Kings. Ouch! Good read on my part and a bad beat.
