Response to Boyd's Players Club Changes

I'll jump from The Main Street Station over to The Plaza, the 4 Queens and El Cortez, down town.

2 years back, the Plaza had full pay 9-6 VP and good BJ. I want to see their NEW carpet!

Bonnie said it is awesome.

Thanks for the post,Boris.

Here's another twist in the BC saga.  This is a promotion I that shows in my account for the Blue Chip in Indiana.

"Come in November 1st through December 28th to receive your exclusive Mystery Tier Credit Bonus!  Swipe once at any kiosk to see what you have won!"

However, the email promo says to come in on Nov 7, 14 OR 28 to get your bonus without stating any particular casino.  When I hover over the offer in the email, it states the same verbage as my acoount offer.

So, again the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is saying.

But it sure looks like they are trying to get around the stupid rules they enacted.

The thing I've thought they would offer is a branded credit card to earn points to keep your card current.  That would help out the Hawaiian visitors.

Multiplier days are useless when one doesn't earn points by being Ruby. Our business is going elswhere and I am a Boyd stockholder.

I just received a flier in the mail that I have been awarded 600 Tier Credits to my account, now making me a Sapphire level.  Huh?  What is going on?  My hubby plays more but did not receive any upgrade.

The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. And it seems that my Emerald status all over sudden becomes worthless. This is particularly sad as for overseas tourists it is not possible to visit more than 2 or 3 x a year, at best. And even if you play all the time, there is a massive cut in benefits, which, in my opinion , is not right. According my win/loss statements I see that I have been losing money over the past years, so what's the reason for this new way of treating customers? Not so sure if I will play much at Boyd in the future although I have always loved to play at the Gold Coast and Mainstreet Station....

I was always saphire Kathy was always Ruby. Under the new system I am Ruby and she is saphire. I realize because I play VP i get almost no tier credits, but do I still earn points. If so how many dollars coin in does it take to get a point.

Charles the thing is no one knows on VP. The web site says it depends. I do ok (Saphire) because I like to play both but a friend who plays more than 10x what I do  stricly VP is still Ruby.

He gets a ton of free play , Food & room comps. Where I get 2 nighs and 10 in food. Not sure what he will get next year but his host assured him that will not change.

There's a lot of discussion about this, tier credits earned on VP depends on the game and its EV.  So, for example, it takes about $180 coin-in for a tier credit on NSUD and about $120 on 9/6 JoB.  The better the game, the more coin-in per tier credit.  Also, very importantly, it's been reported that the machines won't maintain a countdown, so if you switch machines or pull your card (for any reason, including to show the slot person at MSS to get a scratch-off card for a quad), you lose any play toward the tier credit.

Every machine in every casino, slot or VP, has an internal countdown to the next point.  The points are displayed on the screen.  Watch the display for a few minutes, how many pulls before the point change (goes up).  True, if your card is pulled out in the middle of the countdown, you lose that point, but you don't lose everything you've played before that.
