Riviera $1000 loss rebate

So, does anyone else have Riv penciled in on their Trip Itinerary now cuz of this offer? Just curious.........

Has anyone Stayed there Yet? Wondering how the Rooms are.........would I shudder? lol
They are just old, musty and they can't get rid of smoke smell. If you can handle that and
the fact I think they try to ram a resort fee at you, then go for it!

I may be saying yes to that guestion in August. On a whim......I called the Riv just to see if i was eligible for a free room? Hadnt been there in at least 3 years but i read on another site, how someone got an offer for free rooms, slot play and eats out of the clear blue. Soooo I called and got 2 nights free for the asking. I dont need the room but I know that Im gonna try the promo with my girl ( who's coming back to Vegas in October with her daughter). I figure the 8/5 BP in $1.00 might yield something good, one way or another.

Heck..who knows? Might get on a roll, take a nap, and then keep pounding away. Then again I may just head back to my hotel. Doubt I'll the room offer...but hey, you never know! They have been sounding pretty scary!

I haven't stayed and don't plan to ever but I have spending a good chunk of the day there on my itinerary because, primarily, of the promo. Promo is a big draw but am also curious about the new Bingo room and there are a number of good Bingo coupons between the ACG and MRB, including one that gives a little FSP for a Bingo buy in. Basically free money all the way around.

I am a member of the Riviera club but I'm pretty sure I haven't played there in at least 24 months, which would make me eligible for the promo. I'm going to give the $1 VP a shot, assuming it's DDB full pay like the quarter DDB. If not, I'll still probably try the $1 VP for a while, then full pay quarter DDB and then some slots, but it would be great to play a few hundred on the dollar VP, hit 4K and run! If not, and I can get a couple Aces with kicker on quarter VP, so $500 a pop, that would be cool too. Here's hoping!

The rooms are okay - they've been remodeled over the last couple years. They aren't upscale like the properties want $150/$200 a night, but they are on par with properties like some of the Station and Boyd casinos. The only thing I don't like about Riviera rooms is the height of the shower heads in the bathrooms. I'm 6'1", and I have to bend over or squat to rinse anything above armpit level.

The "neighborhood" in front of the place isn't scary at all, but the only places within close walking distance are the Peppermill restaurant next door, and the Circus Circus and Slots A Fun casinos across the street. The Deuce stops right in front of the Riv, and I've never felt unsafe catching the bus at any time of day or night.

Room comps are easy to get, even if you are a relatively low roller. I've stayed at the Riv three times in the last year-and-a-half, the most recent stay being three months ago, and I will stay there again.

Hey Now!
we are going to be in Vegas from Aug 30- Sept. 9.
The rules say the other 50% of the rebate is paid on the 3rd day of the following month. Would I qualify if I earned it during Aug. 30 or 31?
you should. Don't see why not...
