Last visit started out at Sams on Wednesday. Used my $100 free play to start off playing $ DDB. On the last $5 of free play, hit kAces...= skill since I held 3.
Thursday evening late (coming back from Walgreens with some cold medicine) passed by a Quick Hit machine and decided to put $20 in it (I'm actually pretty lucky on QH's and it relaxes the brain). At max play ($1.50) hit the free play gizmos and got 25 free plays with 3x kicker. Ran thru it accomplishing little, but hit 20 more free plays before the free play was finished. So I'm still sitting there watching it rack up very little (now into about 35 free spins)when BANG...8 QH's show up!!!! Multiplier was in effect and it rang up a little over $4,450...= big time luck.
Friday was a looser, but transitioned to Red Rock via the Glass Show at South Point.
Saturday day was good with quad Aces 4 times, but its what happened in the evening that is noteworthy. On my way up to the room in the evening I stopped by the FP DDB 3 play. Since at the .25 level its a $3.75 pull each time and I never exceed my $5 limit ($ DDB), I played quarters. Held my own for about 20 minutes as I moved down the line of machines. Finally ended up at the end one and still had most of the $100 I had started with. Played it for about 5 minutes without winning or loosing and finally got 2 aces on the bottom. Held my breath and darn if I didn't get KAces on the top line...thought to my self another $500, way to go. Than I noticed flashing across the screen "call attendant". Damn, I had been play $'s on the machine without realizing it! = luck!
Sunday morning at the RR was good to me with 3 more quad Aces and 3 Kicker 2/3/4's. Sunday afternoon things had slowed down and I had gone thru about $900 playing $DDB. So I decided one more hundred and it was time for a break. Sat down at a machine where I had hit a RF last year and darn if it didn't come again! = skill, I held 10, k & a).
After dinner played some more and had back to back quad Aces = skill of course, I held 2 each time.
So, my best trip ever and luck played a huge part...come on, how many of you have hit $4,450 on a penny machine? How many of you picked up on the fact that I never used my own backroll?
Also locked in Emerald again at Boyd and President at Stations.
Major bummer...I had a cold the whole time and went thru 2 boxes of kleenex (sorry about contaminating the machines). Other major bummer...carrying all those Franklin's home and hoping TSA wouldn't notice.
