Slot or VP Tournaments on the Strip?

My wife and I will be in town this coming Sunday through Thursday. Just in case the bankroll gets a bit depleted, we may be looking for ways to kill time with little or no downside. For example, the old 'Rags to Riches' slot tourney at NYNY or the Aladdin's old slot tourney. You pay a couple of bucks, get a 'free' t-shirt or other swag and a chance to win some free play. We actually played in one at the Encore for new members a few years ago and won $500 in free play. The IP looked like it had something like that going on, but I can't tell if it's still there. Anybody know of something like this? BJ would be okay too, but I'm not up for a poker tournament... Thanks!

I have had a lot of fun at the M Resort. They have 50+ club drawings on Tuesdays. I have won it before so I know it's on the level.
