South Point's June promo

Well, that suggests (I know, small sample size) that the average prize is reasonably larger than the smallest prizes.

I remember some promos from back in the day, where you would play X amount and get a virtual wheel spin or some such and win "up to" 48 bazillion dollars, except the result of the spin always seemed to be 1,500 points or something trivial like that. Stations was particularly notorious for that.

My takeaway here is that this promo is better than the gas/gift card or double points promos on a percentage return basis. Looking forward to more data--thanks.

Update for this past week:

16 spins with a value of $155. Given around 2,450 points per spin, the return is a shade under .4%.

Based on that, a little better than the gas/gift card promo. But for that promo, you had a max earning ability of $500 (ten cards), while for this one, you could do more like $600-700. Of course, the inconvenience factor is greater for the spins, since you can only do them Mon-Thu.

I hope you're in town the last week of the month, so you can tell us if the spins get better during the final days of the promo.

Lending some credence to the theory that this promo is at its best at the end of the month, when the entirety of the designated prize pool is finally distributed.

Better than a kick in the oompa loompas. Now, the real task is to try to quantify the value of this month's SP promo.
