Dominic, Jennifer, and Mando are 3 of our four hosts. The 4th is Ami B. (long name, can't remember how to spell it, lol). Mando and Ami have been at Aliante since it opened. Mando is an interesting guy with more than 50 years in the casino business. He was Bill Harrah's "right-hand man" back in the day at Harrahs in Reno or Tahoe or somewhere like that (before Harrahs was in Vegas). He opened Harrahs in Atlantic City years ago. He was retired, when Joe Hasson (Aliante's original GM) called him and made him an offer to come out of retirement and be a host at Aliante. He's also a very nice man.

BTW, casinos giveth and casinos taketh away, LOL. Yes, they added the 8 machines in front of the pancake house that Keith describes above. These earn 1 point for every $1 coin-in. That's the good news.

The bad news is that they've removed one bank of Optimum machines -- the roundabout just outside the movie theaters and arcade. These have been replaced by slots.

These 99% games are in vpFREE2 at Fiesta Henderson, so that leaves Santa Fe and Sunset as the only two with no report on these so far.

That is good news Sue. Those are the ones we always played and always lost.

Anyone reading this thread and do not know why VP players would welcome 99% games in casinos that already have 100% plus games let me explain.

The 100% plus games are very volatile ie they give few wins but give big wins. Many of the 99% games are much less volatile ie lots of small wins. Most of the time you will lose a lot of money quickly on the volatile games but when you win it will also be big. The 99% games will usually take your money but you will get to play much longer in a bad session.

At times we forget this is a Las Vegas newsletter not a video poker newsletter.
I'm pumped that Red Rock may have 8/5 ACE$ Bonus Poker for our upcoming trip and stay there. With full points earned on the game, that'll be a great way for us to rack up some points.
My personal best of the best is RR. My game is DDB and all of their machines (all slant tops and in good condition) are FP (9/6) machines at the $1 level. And with all the 3X coupons they send out, all my play is 3X. You add to that great rooms and a great buffet and its far and away my fav Station casino.
Of course it helps, that the rooms are free tool.
Orleans machines are also all 9/6, but they are uprights and older. But I also get 3x pts their (Emerald) and free rooms and their buffet is the best of the Boyds.

From my perspective it's the $1 for a point that makes these attractive (FPDW is the same variance as NSU but at $4 a point).
Captain Bill, 9/6 DDB is not "full pay," but I'd rather play that at $1 per point than 10/6 DDB at $4 per point.
LVRoyale,

We played at Santa Fe last night and they have finally installed the 99% machines. Total of 8 uprights (ugh!), located between the Sports Book and High Limit, just outside the Poker Room.

Enjoy!
