still looking: info needed about reno's siena casino promo. "first $500 on us"

The way I read the flyer that Chil provided, you MUST do your 1st redemption within 24 hours of SIGNING UP, regardless of how much you lost (if you did lose).

Whether you lose $500 or $100, you MUST do 1st redemption within 24 hours of SIGNING UP to be eligible for the 2nd and 3rd redemptions. If you don't claim your 1st redemption in time, you lose it all, no 2nd and 3rd redemptions.

When you sign up, ask when the clock starts and when your 24 deadline ends, also exactly how and where to redeem.

So, if you signed up at exactly 11:00 PM Sunday night, theoretically you have until 11:00 PM Monday night to lose and claim your 1st redemption part of your loss. (But don't cut it that close, or you'll end up in some long line, or they will have closed the slot club desk, or the slot club attendant will be on break, or you have to go to some special promo desk at the other end of the building and then to the cashier at the opposite end, or some other disaster that keeps you from redeeming by your 24 hour redemption deadline.)

When you do your first redemption, they should be able to tell you 1) the amount of your loss, 2) how much you get right then, 3) and when your next redemption ("active gaming day") period begins. It is all about your loss during that first 24 hours. Wait until you think you have lost the $500 to do your 1st redemption, because that is the amount that the 2nd and 3rd redemptions will be based on.

Hey, I'm basing my 'advice' on what is contained in that flyer, not experience. But that is the best I can tell.

It sounds like a good offer if you jump through all the hoops at the right times.

Good luck!
In February 2015, I'm intending to play Siena's "first $500 on us promotion," if it is still available. I'm intending to play and lose $500 in 10 minutes in order to get the 1st redemption and later get the 2nd and 3rd redemptions. I will report back how it goes (I will report back for I keep my promises). I'm just hoping that the promotion is still running in February 2015. Another concern of mine is if the promotion is only good on slot machine which I'll still try but I would rather play a $5 jacks or better video poker machine. I just don't want to play and lose $500 on a $5 jacks or better machine only for them to tell me that the promotion can only be done on slot machines and not video poker machines.
They were clear with me; the rebates, each of the parts as shown on chilcoots repro, could be used on VP. Good luck!
I just checked Siena's website and I don't see the "first $500" promotion any where on the website. I still have my plans to visit in Feb 2015 but I'm feeling bummed out that I may have missed out on their promotion.

As promised this is how the promotion worked. Before starting though I should start by saying that the promotion worked exactly as described on the flier that Cilcoot provide. I signed up for the Siena Rewards card and started my play on 2/1/15 at 10:21 pm. Within 15 minutes I lost the $500, went back to the booth and they loaded the first redemption of $200 onto my card. And long story short, I didn't win but made my money back using the promotion. I played my first $500 on a $10 triple double bonus video poker machine (5 credit max).Note that the first redemption was not automatic and I had to see the boothling to get it activated. The boothling indicated that $1 needed to be played first in order for the first redemption of $200 to appear in my account. It worked exactly as she described and I had the $200 on my slot card. She indicated that after playing through the $200 that I could return anytime after midnight on 2/2/15 to get my 2nd redemption of $150 however the booth would close at midnight on 2/2/15 so to return when they reopen in the morning on 2/2/15, which I did to get the 2nd redemption of $150. Upon returning for the 2nd redemption which I received without a hitch, the boothling explained that for the final 3rd redemption that it would be added on automatically anytime after midnight on 2/3/15 which I also received as well. The process required playing $1 first for each of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd redemptions and the credits would then appear in my account which it did. Overall I would highly recommend anyone take advantage of this promotion if you will be there over the time period needed to collect all 3 redemptions. Prior to Chilcoot posting the flier I had only intended to stay there for 2 nights. After seeing Chilcoot's flier I had changed my stay there to be able to take full advantage of this promotion which was 3 nights. Thanks Chilcoot for posting the flier, and thanks jmradford for starting this thread. I only went there to play this promotion. It is a great promotion and I would recommend anyone who is thinking of doing the "first $500 on us," to do it before they discontinue it.
Glad you had fun with this, surf87.

While you didn't walk away with cash, you did get at least a mess of free shots at some pretty high jackpots. $10 triple double bonus VP? What's the royal on that, $40,000?
That is correct that the royal would have paid $40,000. Aces with kicker on $10 TDB poker would have also paid $40,000 as well. This was the first time in my entire life that I had played $10 VP and I was nervous thinking, what if I had won something good. It was fun playing $10 VP. The highest denomination that I had played prior to this was $1 VP. On my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd redemptions however I switched back down to quarter VP and cashed out whenever I had cycled the free play through the machines. For my redemptions I only downloaded $20 or $10 at a time rather than downloading the entire $200, $150, and $150 in its entirety.
Awesome thread! Thanks to everyone for their valuable posts! I hope to get there before it's over.
