Strip BJ - Good rules and low mins

I will be staying at Harahs.  Bringing (teaching) my wife in the evenings.  I will be at convention during the day.  Looking for good rules and low minimums close to Harahs.  I am thinking TI but looking for the wisdom of the players here to help.  Prefer $10 mins as I don't think $5 is possible.  Prefer surrender H17, double after split and early surrender if I can get it.  If it isn't 3/2 it isn't blackjack.  Seems like the Cromwell had decent rules and mins at one time but can't remember the specifics.

Haven't seen early surrender in a very long time.

TI has the game you are looking for with everything except Early Surrender.

Note that S17 is better than H17, but is hard to find on the strip for under $25 per hand.

Most CET games under $25 min are 6:5 trash, but the Linq sometimes has a $5 3:2 without DAS or LS.

A oouple other places to check out would be Ellis Island behind the Linq, and Tuscany behind them, both have $5 3:2.

Will you have a rental car for your LV convention adventure?

Many thanks.

Yes.  S17 and Late surrender would be correct.  Don't know what I was thinking.

I won't have a car.  I will be taking the uber to the convention.

I called Ellis Island.  S17, Surrender, 3/2, DAS.  Sounds like the place.

I am familiar with Koval as I used to always go to Casino Royale for their fun book and VP promotions.  So thanks for the great advice.  Looks like it is about 2 miles away.  Probably walking distance if leave by the back of the hotel but not sure if that is safe late at night.

You could cut through the linq and flamingo casinos, but going direct from behind Harrahs would be quicker.

There will likely be lots of homeless folks standing around outside, but if you don't make eye contact with them they will generally leave you alone.

If I was by myself and didn't have a car, I would probably walk it, but with my wife I would probably just call a Lyft, probably $5+tip from Harrahs? Depends how well you know your wife!

There are enough coupons for Ellis Island for ACG and LVA you could recoop almost half the cost of the books at just the one casino!

If you can afford a trip downtown, try the single deck at El Cortez. Thats a very friendly $5 game as long as you don't jump your bet size....

Did EI move? It used to be directly behind Ballys. Ok walk in daylight but no sidewalks. Short Uber ride.

Why bother ? Gambling on the Strip is like shopping on 5th avenue in New York. If you like the luxury and bling bling then you have to pay for it. I avoid the Strip casinos whenever possible and I found fantastic locals places all around town. There are places that even remember my drink preferences, although I am just a quarter videopoker player. I doubt that you can find this on the Strip these days....it's like in the movie...when you check-in at the hotel you feel like being at the airport...and when you order room service, you can be happy if they will serve you on the 3rd day of your stay....

There are many places in Las Vegas offering 3:2 on B-J and way lower buffet prices, and looser slots. It takes a rental car, that's true, but you can find great places within 15-20 minutes of driving.
