On our next trip, probably in Sept we plan to gamble 4 to 6 hours at a MGM property to possibly qualify for some of their charter flights. I play .25 to 1.00 Double Double Bonus & Double Bonus Video poker, wife plays same amounts on all type of slots, our budget for this would be $600 to $1,000.Any info on which of their casinos you would recommend. Thanks for any guidance.

Hi Bobby. Your wife's slot play will earn points much faster wherever you play. Everything has changed in regard to tier point earnings, etc. Anyway, go to MGMAir web site. Also there is a customer care number which is 888-640-8973 which can direct you to web sites to locate charter schedules, when they fly to and from, price, etc.
Now, here's the thing. My friend from Church started getting offers after what I believe was fairly minimal play somewhere, probably Beau Rivage. Offers are for the player and one guest. Guest goes free but same room, which in your case would be fine (you and wife). I have no idea how much play/points puts you on the list for charter offers, free or at cost.
Her first offers cost her $450, which she went for, but that included flight, room nights just like the free offers. Gradually hers have improved price-wise, now down to about $200 or $150 or so.
I had not realized that charters were offered with a (relatively small, IMO) cost if the offer-ee (LOL) wasn't a big player. So good reason to check web site and/or call and talk to somebody. Your 'cost' for one of the trips could be way less than commercial air fair for two of you. The more you go, the more offers you get.
Despite my having to cut way back on casino trips (and of course play) due to husband's health, I'm still getting free charter offers (MGM and Caesars), even though my Tier scores plunged after last year. I think Caesars is easier on earning points, and same thing, offers are for one plus a 'guest', free flight, room nights.
Sorry to ramble. Good luck!
