I'm surprised that Jean didn't mention using coupons (match-plays, free-plays, etc.) and other casino promotions as a way to stretch a bankroll. They not only give you an advantage, in many cases, but they also "force" you to move around to a lot of different casinos so you don't end up spending too much time in any one place, chasing your losses.
I know that my bankroll usually lasts much longer, and often increases, during the first couple of days when I'm making "coupon runs" and goes much quicker towards the end of the trip when the coupons have all been used.
