Triple Double Bonus Question

I recently played TDB in videopoker.com's daily contest, something frenzy where if you are dealt a 3 of a kind, you get extra hands. I was dealt 3 fours with a kicker card. The something frenzy game automatically holds the 3 of a kind and then draws for 2 more cards per hand. The game not holding the kicker card leads me to my question. Is one supposed to hold the kicker card when dealt a 3 of a kind when playing TDB? BTW, I did get 4's with a kicker on 2 lines and 4's on another line during the bonus game.

Everytime I'm dealt 3 aces and the kicker... the little voice in my head is Sue Casey telling me this is the only game you ever hold the kicker.
