Tropicana sign up promo?

Anyone had experience with this promotion? Says they will reimburse up to $200 loss on first day of play.

Debra
I did it two weeks ago and it was painless. I think I previously was a member but was told that I was good to go for the deal. All I play is video poker and the Trop does not have much. I played awhile, got bored, lost $40, want to the player's club center, got my $20 free play, was told I would have $20 more on Feb 3d, played the $20 on my card and left. The only problem was the lousy poker pay tables. I would have done what I did at Terribles, play VP for $1, quickly lose the $100, get the free play, play it through, cash-out and leave. However at the Trop you only get 1/2 back instantly so losing the $200 only gets you back $100 then and $100 the next month. That is OK if you live in Vegas but not so good if you are an occasional visitor. Anyway it was easy to do so go for it.
Good information, I was going to do this, but if you only get 1/2 back it isn't worth it.
Interesting... I heard that this was not valid on Video Poker - slots only. Figured that was why it was getting zero coverage/love here on LVA. If this is valid on their VP I'll be hitting it this week asap!

I did it in November. I was told it was good on all machines.
You get half back the same day and the other half was valid for a year, starting the next month.
I think it's an incredible deal.
Thanks- I'm thinking of staying a couple of nights there in June, so it would be convenient as well.

I don't know about this but I'm wondering if you did this right at the end of the month, if you could get the other half the next day. Like if you played (where the month had 31 days) on the 31st and then got the other half on the First day of the next month?

They have $1 8/5 BP according to VPFREE2 so that makes it a great deal.

I will be there in March hopefully it is still going
Wow! I did not see 8/5 BP for a dollar are anything else. I saw one bank with 7/5 BP and the rest of the VP was worse. I guess I should have looked harder but my wife was with me and she likes to keep moving.
I didn't see any decent VP there, and I looked pretty hard. Your $200 in losses is for any machine, but the rebated slot loss money doesn't work on all machines.
Best I saw was the 7/5.
