Tropicana sign up promo?

You get 50% the same day, the other 50% goes on your card the third day of the next calender month,
so if playing Jan 31st, you'd need to wait until Feb 3rd to get your other half. You hve thirteen calender months from the day you sign up to use the rebated money, so even a once a year visitor should take advantage of this.

Should you sign up for a card online or wait until you get to Vegas? Can you play on more than one machine or do you have to stay on the same machine?

You can play on as many machines as you want when playing for the bonus. FP is played out in $5 minimum amounts. You can play $5,$10,$20 or $50 in FP on a machine as you desire.
One thing I don't think anyone has brought up is that you earn comp points and dollars while using the FP, same as if you were using cash. I don't think that is the case in all casinos.

Since the promo is for new slot club signups only, I would for sure wait to sign up in person. The last thing you want to have happen is for you to show up only to be told you're not eligible because you're already in their system.

In fact, in general I never advise signing up for a slot club online ahead of a trip unless there is a good incentive for doing so (such as freeplay for signing up online that is not available in person).

We signed up online and immediately received an email giving us 15% off of our first booking.
When we arrived at the Player's Club we simply showed our ID's and we were given our cards and the promo
was explained to us. So if you are booking a room there it might be best to join online and get the discount.
If you are not booking a room you might as well just join when you get there.
