Tuscany verses Terribles

From what Don the Dentist reported I will have to make a Tuscany stop.
Every time I drive past Tuscany it looks closed. They don't light it up very well especially at night.
Tuscany rooms compare to what other Vegas rooms?
Do they comp rooms and what kind of play is needed for a comp room?
No one has responded to your post, and I have not been there.

So if you have not done so, goto youtube.com

Search under

tuscany casino las vegas

There are some videos of the rooms.

BTW, while there, search under

cosmopolitan terrace suite fountain view

Then play the one called

Cosmopolitain - wrap around terrace suite.

What a view, must be nice to have money, I check and that room is listed for $370 a night for the time period we will be in Vegas for September.

We'll be in the Flamingo Go Room with a view, was at $105 a night. This week found a new promo they have (that they are not advertising) and got the room down to $74 a night woooo hoooo!!!

But no terrace view... boooo hooooo!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just updated, this video of the "Cosmopolitain - wrap around terrace suite" is no good for the Bellagio sign is in the way, for this room is too low, and you would miss half of the fountain show. So be warned. If I paid big bucks and was not able to see all the fountains, I would be pissed.

There are some Cosmo wraparound terrace views on youtube that are high enough above the Bellagio sign that are good. We looked into what a basic room, fountain view would cost, and it was $220 or $260 and night for September, can't remember.

But, you sure do need to get high enough to get over the sign.

Think I'll post this section on the hotels site to warn others...

As others have said, the casino is sedate. I don't play there enough to ever get a comped room, but I know they run specials on their rooms, and you can sometimes get one very cheap, like maybe $40 (plus resort fee). The rooms are "suites" with kitchen and dining area. Nothing fancy, though.

Check with a casino host for comps. And check out their promotions.

The mexican cantina has good mexican food that is reasonably priced. Like if you want a chile relleno or something like that, it's a good place to go. My last request was the chicken relleno, and it was very good.

Tuscany told me when I wanted to use my match play their from ACG, that I needed the card with it.

Ok, reasonable, I had the whole book with me, showed them the book since I had not taken the coupon out yet. They told me that is not good enough and told me take the card out. There was no one playing anything at the time.

Ripped the card out and lost the bet. Then of course lost the card because it was no longer attached to the book.

I like Terribles, not fancy but it has a pulse. I think Tuscany is dead but Marilyn's has ok food at reasonable prices. Free slot tourney at Terribles, but difficult to get a decent score. The cafe is OK I think if you want a cheap meal at Terribles. They usually have specials for about $10.

I don't really care if Tuscany is "dead". The VP plays there are so much better than Terribles. And, IMHO, that is the name of the game.

And there is no comparison on the restaurants. Tuscany by a mile!!
Just responding to the original question giving my humble opinions about the pros and cons.

Dr. Don, I did not mean to challenge your humble opinion. Nothing meant by it.

Enjoy Tuscany, try to bring it to life! At least you know CPR if you cannot do it.

Tuscany, by far.

1. They have three days with 10x points, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday. The 10x points adds 1% to the payback, making games like 8/5 BP and 9/7 DB playable. Multi-line games are not eligible for the 10x points.

2. In February, they have gift cards on Tuesdays. 1,000 points = $10 card, 5 cards max. Since each dollar in earns one point, this is also a 1% addition. And you can play the multi-line games, reducing the time needed to earn the 5,000 points.

3. In addition to the cashback, you also earn comp dollars, which you can use in the restaurants and gift shop and for the hotel. If I remember the numbers correctly, this adds another .5% or so to the payback. The Gift Shop will special order for you if their vendors have something they don't normally carry. I regularly order boxes of cigars.

4. Restaurants - there are three and one snack bar by the pool. Coffee Shop has some pretty good daily specials, for example steak and eggs for $6.99. The Italian restaurant, Tuscany Gardens is surprisingly good. In the morning, at the pool snack bar, they large breakfast sandwiches for $2.99 (I think...its either $2.99 or $3.99).

5. Clientele - fewer wierdos at the Tuscany.

6. Slot Club desk - really nice folks working there.

Absolutely agree, and read #5 SEVERAL times as you will learn to appreciate this after many trips. #7 might be to stay there and have a huge, quiet, peaceful room with no food trays in the walkways.

Thank you, for we were hoping to play at Tuscanny as a mini visit during the day one time.

I just have a mental problem going into a casino called Terribles.

I know it is me, but it is me.... and I just don't think mentally I can get over that.

Plus Tuscanny is close to walking distance to the EI, that we are willing to do, during the late morning/afternoon shift.

Thank you sooooo much for this info, for as boring as people say it is, sounds like a nice place for a early afternoon break away from the strip..

I haven't been to either in over 3 years but I must admit, 3 plus years ago, after giving both locations about the same amount of play for an hour or so...Tuscany sent me a free room offer! I never used it but I do remember thinking good thoughts about their response to my minimaL play! I've never gotten anything from Terribles other than a flyer about gas (or something like that(. Wish they had an affliate (gas station) in Buffalo NY!!!
A little known fact is that T used to be named Wonderfuls, but the name gradually faded to it's current one, as it's unfortunate patrons always described it.
