two consecutive quads

I was playing VP at Hard Rock here in Tampa yesterday, got quads on two consecutive hands. I don't think I've ever done that before.

But it was a Deuces Wild game. And yes, they were both natural quads.

sigh...

Been playing Vp heavily the last ten years and it has only happened to me once at the back of the Golden Gate near the old diner. Once my wife and I sat down at a Shockwave VP at Boulder just to see how it worked and I hit 4 9's and then hit 4 9's again within 10 hands to win the bonus. But the back-to-back have been extremely rare for me. Congrats.
You both were probably playing single line games. I had 3 quads in 3 successive hands but I was playing triple play STP. I would much rather have had David's situation.
It would be interesting to know what the odds were for both types of occurence.
I was playing single-line Super Double Double Bonus at the Cannery yesterday. I hit quad 2's (no kicker), and on the very next hand hit quad kings (again, no kicker). It's happened to me before, but very rarely.

Nice! Hope you all were playing quarters +

I was.
Getting the exact same quads twice in a row happened twice to me...as far as I can remember.

Once at the Fiesta Rancho, I got four queens dealt and the next hand held two queens and the other two popped up on the draw.

The other time I got four aces at the Palms on $2 10/7 DB. Waited for the W2. After signing and getting paid, I had to arrange the money (all bills facing the same way), give my wife $100 to play with, and then played the next hand. Don't remember the details, but wound up with four aces again...on the very next hand. Thought the slot attendants were going to give me a hard time, thinking I was trying to get paid for the same hand twice. But no problems.

My friend was playing triple play quarters DDB and the machine dealt him four 4's. Didn't pull any kickers. Next hand....dealt four 4's again...and again didn't pull any kickers! Wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it myself.

At Terrible's LV, I was playing 5 play ddb, held 2 suited face cards and drew to a royal on the first line. Took a picture, enjoyed the moment, then pressed deal. Held 2 suited face cards and hit a royal on the 2nd hand! Back to back royals, the true miracle being only holding 2 cards each time. Really fun night, and proves why we all just keep playing, you never know!
I can't remember exactly when, but I am sure that I have had back to back quads more than once.

On my Christmas trip to AC, I was showing the bartender (on old friend) how Shock Wave Poker worked. I very rarely play it in AC as the paytable is cut, but I decided to invest $20.00. I hit a quad and called John over to watch the next few hands. Sure enough out came 3 - 10's and I drew the 4th for $1,000.00. That was the best way to show how the game worked.

By the way on Christmas Eve I had my 5th ever dealt Royal - spades - on a 50 cent machine. I had moved up from .25, hoping my bad luck might change for halves.

Capped off my trip with a $1,000.00 five of a kind playing AC style joker poker. Great trip this year and my gambling bankroll needed the help.

I was dealt quads on consecutive hands playing single line one time. Probably the rarest recognizable video poker hand sequence I've experienced.
