I gave up on blackjack a long time ago. Even though one of the casinos here in Oklahoma has the loosest rules anywhere, DBL Deck, early surrender, split aces 4 times, DBL on any two cards, DBL after split and no ante.
The new games I like are Blackjack Double Up and Down Under. A short synopsis, Double Up, player gets to double the bet after first two cards are dealt. Example, player has 19 or 20 and dealer has a 6 you can double your bet. Down Under, a little like double exposure, player gets an ideal what the players hole card is. the card reader shows blue, red, or gold light. blue being 2 thru 5. red 6 thru 9 and gold 10 thru Ace. Gold the dealer turns over her hole card in case they have blackjack. Basic strategy gives the house a .59 edge. compared to 1.5 edge for regular blackjack. Basic strategy includes splitting 10's against a 5 or 6 with a gold light, meaning the dealer has 75% chance of having 15 or 16, 25% chance of having soft 16 or soft 17.
Has anyone else found these wonderful games?
