Video Poker - Do you change machines after win?

I do like Fredo does, play it a little while longer just in case a winning streak is afoot. Hey, it happens. Just not often enough.

I always hit the cash out button on a big win. Then I will reload the machine with a fresh bill to assure that I keep the wins.
I kind of do what Lt.ax49 does. I continue to play alittle on same machine, or at the least, change games or denom on same machine, after a Big win.

I've had many repeat hits on same machine. Sometimes an awesome run happens.
You'd never know if you cashout, & leave immed.
I'm Not saying put it all back. Thats for chumps. Don't do that.

But you can hit cashout, and put in a smaller bill to see how it does........
That scenario has worked best for me.

I've had a machine spit out eight 4oaks in an hour. I've gone hours of play w/o getting one. I've seen two RFs come up in three hands. Know the strategy, understand the pay table, the machine matters not.

Once I was at the Fremont playing quarter Bonus Deuces.

That machine gave me "5 of a kind" at least 6 times (including the 5 Aces), then I hit a Royal Flush on it.

I also received a promotional T-Shirt for the Royal.

I personally prefer to play on a machine where I have had some success because I know the next hand has no bearing on the previous hand. With that said, after a decent hit (4 Aces with kicker, etc.) I will usually cash out that ticket and start fresh on the machine. There have been times on a machine where I cashed out multiple tickets in the same session and just kept playing AND there has been times where my the second $100 I put into the machine is gone in a flash. Regardless, I like to play on machines where I have some history of success although (like on an investment prospectus) prior results doesn't guarantee future results. :-)
While waiting for a slot attendant to return with my jackpot, ID, etc....Seems when I sit and play credits I have left in the machine (or put more money in) it is a total waste.

Move on!
I was playing dollar Loose Deuces at GVR, when I hit 4 Deuces for $2,500.
The attendant came, took my info and went off.
The cocktail waitress came and took my order and went off.
The cocktail waitress came back about 10 minutes later with my drink.
She took one look at my machine, still saw the 4 Deuces on the screen, and said "They haven't come to pay you yet?"
However, in the time it took her to return, I actually did receive my hand pay, and was now waiting for a second,
because I hit another set of 4 Deuces for another $2,500 !!!!

Years ago I hit a royal at Venetian on one of the three one dollar amigos that used to be there and was playing down the balance when I hit another royal. $8000 wow! Last week I hit two royals on a quarter machine at Harrahs Cherokee so it does happen.
With me, I tend to get up from the machine when I hit either my playing session Win Goal (which on a Quarter machine, depending on the pay schedule, game and Variance may be $30-$37.50) or Loss Limit (which may be -- again depending on the game and its pay schedule along with the Variance -- anywhere from $60-$75) although at times if I'm down nicely and then get a nice hit and get up even a bit, I may even stop right there and cash out and take a break and walk around and then I may or may not go back to the same machine (if it's not taken obviously).

And I'd say often that when I get a Four-Of-A-Kind, Straight Flush or Royal Flush I tend to continue playing until I lose a hand or two and then I get up and leave (at least for 10-15 minutes if not more) and take a break.
