Video Poker: There are reports of

A bank of 14 machines at the Downtown Grand with payouts up to 100.7% all the way up to $2 level. Slot points may have been cut off. Get it while it exists

Its true. There are more than 14 machines with full pay games up to the $2 level, including full pay deuces wild. These machines do NOT give points for coin-in. They were giving points originally, but management stopped giving points on ALL video poker machines.

How dumb is that? The guy playing 7/5 BP at the bar realizes he ain't getting any points and wanders off to a joint that will. Just stop the points on the machines with the full pay games.

Are you calling Boyd Gaming stupid?

The Downtown Grand is not owned by Boyd Gaming. Not sure why you asked your question.

But, now that you mentioned it, Boyd Gaming did NOT fully think out the changes in the slot club that they implemented about 9-10 months ago. Plenty of push back by the video poker playing community.

Pay tables are better, now.See VPfree 2:

IF you play only 9/6 VP,there are just 2 machines.

2 end machines in a bank of 4. The weird part is that they have  9/6 pay table with quarters, but 8/5 with dollars!   (Right next to the cocktail station, conveniently.)

My host is Denise Ortega.I have 2 comp nights in September,if I want them.

free drinks and full pay?  Not a bad deal... But the Vue Bar at The D is still better with those progressives on the bartop VP.

Don't think so. FPDW is

Don't think the Vue bar is better even with the progressives. FPDW is a 100.76% game ALL the time. It is true, if the progressives get pretty high, the total return can exceed 100.76% on occassion.

But for the $.25 player, the Vue bar is a good deal.
